Ellus 2 is the successor of our "best seller" Ellus was the first SOL paraglider certificated by DHV. Its approval rate is confirmed by over 1,200 canopies currently flying in 65 countries. To succeed Ellus we developed a paraglider that has more performance, comfort and is easier to handle.

Many hours were spent in developing and testing so that you, as a pilot, would be able to fly just as much.



PILOT AND BEHAVIOR DURING THE FLIGHT

Ellus 2 is a DHV 1-2 suitable to both beginner and experienced pilots, who want a good performance paraglider with high safety. The objective of this paraglider is to offer a world of possibilities to the pilot, from the practicing stage to distance flights.

Ellus 2 has a high passive safety and even with a basic knowledge the pilot will have many enjoyable hours of flight.

Following SOL's tradition Ellus 2 brings improvements in performance, handling and safety. Everything was conducted in order to make it easy to fly and safe with an increased performance.



DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION

Ellus 2 is innovative amongst other paragliders in its class for presenting a bigger aspect ratio. This combination between real and projected measurements results in a stable paraglider, easy to handle and with an excellent performance. Both weak and strong conditions can be enjoyed with more comfort.

SOL Ellus 2 incorporates new technologies developed by SOL which are used in the aerobatic canopies and in competitions:

• HAR - High Aspect Ratio: an ideal combination between surface and projected surface – minimising drag and maximising glide.

• FHT - Full Hibrid Tecnology:a hybrid utilisation of *4* types of fabric – combining durability and resistance with less weight and low deformation;

• LT - Laser Tecnology: Molds cut by Laser equipment.

FLIGHT CHARACTERISTICS

Its higher aspect ratio allows a more precise piloting both to active pilots who like to use the body, as well as to passive pilots who prefer to act using the brakes. This characteristic allows a great performance in weak and strong thermals, while stability is maintained.

Since 1991 SOL has been producing and following the evolution of materials and products. Our experience makes us choose the materials carefully, thus guaranteeing a good stability and a high safety level. All SOL paragliders are manufactured in our own plant, certified by DHV.
